5 Rapid Hair Growth Hacks- That Work!

Whether you’re just wanting a change or having second thoughts about that last haircut, we’ve all wanted our hair to grow a little faster at some point. It is a long and tedious process but there are some things you can do to help speed the process along.

  1. Get Regular Trims– “Wait a minute! I thought this blog post was about growing hair, not cutting it!” It is sis… just hear me out. Getting split or damaged ends is pretty much inevitable. If you hold on to them because you want the “length” they will just continue to split higher and higher, causing more damage and making us have to cut off more than you were wanting. 1 step forward, 2 steps back.
  2. Sleep on Silk- The friction that a traditional cotton pillow case causes on your hair as you tossed and turn at night, is enough to cause minor splitting and damage to your ends. Swap it out for a silk one and stop it in its tracks.
  3. Vitamins- There are hundred of vitamins out there that will swear to grow your hair super fast. Ther main vitamin you want to make sure to take is Biotin. In the past couple of years I’ve had quiete a few clients have lots of success with Nutrafol. It’s the #1 Dermatologist recommended hair growth supplement and I can honestly say I noticed a huge difference in their hair.
  4. Dial Back on the Heat Try to stay away from using heat everyday. Find some heatless hairstyles to keep your hair looking great between shampoos. When you have to use heat, be sure to you a heat protectant.
  5. Keep your Hair Conditioned – This should go without saying, but conditioned hair is healthier hair. Healthy hair grows and doesn’t require as much to be trimmed. Conditioned hair is healthy hair, healthy hair can grow long and strong.

At the end of the day, our hair grows on average 1/2 inch per month. So it’ll take about 6 months to see 3 inches worth of growth. If you’re trying to go from a bob to Rapunzel, be realistic about your goals. This is not going to happen overnight.
