4 Winter Hair Hacks for Hydrated Hair

Most of us in South Louisiana look forward to winter when it comes to good hair days. Winter time usually means less humidity, which is our biggest issue in the south. Winter also comes with a different set of series of challenges, most of which lead back to lack of moisture, so lets fix that.

  1. Cut out the HOT water.
    • After being in the cold, a nice hot shower probably sounds amazing. While it’s ok for warming up, you might want to cool down the water before shampooing your hair. Hot water can dry out your hair.
  2. Hydrating Hair Masks
  3. Less Heat Styling
    • Less humidity means less touch ups. You really should only need to use heat on your hair the day you shampoo it. Try to find some kind of way to wear your hair at night to maintain your style.
  4. Seal the Cuticle
    • A few drops of a light weight serum, such as Food for Soft Multi Use Hair Oil Serum. Serum can also help fight static. If static gets really bad, you can wrap a dryer sheet around your brush with a ponytail holder and smooth over the surface of your hair.
