Tips to Make Thin, Fine Hair Look Thicker and Fuller

Is your hair baby fine and limp but you’re wanting some Kardashian fullness? I’ve got a few tips that will help you out with that

Layers– Your haircut is everything when it comes to making hair appear fuller. A simple one length haircut just ain’t gonna cut it sista. Layers help by creating the illusion of thickness by removing weight from the ends and adding movement in the hair.

Products– Choose styling products as well as shampoo and conditioner specifically formulated for volume will help your hair immensely . You’ll want to use a root lifter such as Redken’s Root Lifter Volumizing Spray Foam and a bodifying mousse to add some texture like Amika’s “Plus Size” mousse. RedKen Volume Injection is a great option for shampoo and conditioner.

Styling– There are a few styling techniques that will also help. Flipping your head upside down while blowdrying is probably one of the easiest way to get some extra volume. Round brushing is also a great way to get some lift. Lange’s Le Volume Eleve’ is a neat little tool for those of you who have trouble with a round brush and blowdryer combo. This is a blowdrying round brush specifically made for lift.

Extensions– Don’t let those Kardashians fool you, that is NOT their hair. If you do all the tips above and it’s just not enough for you, there are a few options as far as extensions go depending on how much of a commitment you’re wanting to make. You could get extensions installed at a salon or you could try a “halo extension piece” or clip in extenstions if you’re just wanting to test the waters out. There are obviously much more high end options than the ones I’ve linked here, but like I said these are good for testing the waters.

By following these tips and incorporating these techniques, you’ll be able to make your hair look a lot fuller, thicker, and more voluminous.
